‘Jasamu DiKenang’ Ceremony for JHEOA General-Director
The ‘Jasamu DiKenang’ Ceremony in conjunction with the retirement of JHEOA General-Director Y.Bhg. Dato' Fadzil B. Mahamud was held in high spirits on July 11, 2008. The ceremony was made even brighter with a multimedia presentation that depicts the story throughout Y.Bhg. Dato' Fadzil B. Mahamud’s career. The ceremony was also made more joyous with a performance by the KP that engaged the attention of all in attendance and was wrappen up by a speech and several words on his part.
Ulu Geroh Aboriginal Plan Palm Oil Dividen Presentation Ceremony
The Palm Oil Dividend Presentation Ceremony was made complete by the attendance of Y.Bhg. Tn. Hj. Mohd Sani Bin Mistam, General-Director of Department of Aboriginal Affairs (JHEOA) in Aboriginal Plan (ROA) Ulu Geroh, Gopeng, Perak on July 12, 2008.
National Advisors Council for the Development of Aboriginal Community Meeting (MPKPMOA)
The government had established the National Advisors Council for the Development of Aboriginal Community Meeting (MPKPMOA) as a forum to discuss the issues regarding development for socio-economy, education, health, land, law and other arising issues from time to time. Since its establishment, the forum has played an important role in generating ideas as well as proposals towards increasing efforts for the target group’s development. The 6th MPKPMOA Meeting was held on July 20, 2008 in the Sultan Ibrahim Building, Johor Bahru.
ICT Awareness Seminar
The Information Technology Section together with the Training & Examination Unit, Human Resource Management Section had sponsored the ICT Awareness Seminar of July 22, 2008 at the Mini Theater, Aboriginal Museum, Gombak. This program was to provide understanding to the Department’s staff especially so that they will be able to use ICT wholly in carrying out their daily tasks. The officiating ceremony of the seminar was made complete by the attendance of Y.Bhg. Tn. Hj. Mohd Sani Bin Mistam, General-Director of JHEOA. Among those that had graced the ceremony was the Deputy General-Director (Planning & Management) Tn. Hj. Mohd Sata Bin Yusoff.
Lawatan Y.B. Menteri KKLW ke Kg. Orang Asli Sg. Layau
Menteri Kemajuan Luar Bandar dan Wilayah (KKLW), Y.B. Senator Tan Sri Dato' Seri Muhammad Bin Muhd Taib, telah mengadakan satu lawatan di Kg. Orang Asli Sungai Layau, Kota Tinggi, Johor. Turut hadir dalam lawatan itu adalah Ketua Pengarah JHEOA, Y.Bhg. Tn. Hj. Mohd Sani Bin Mistam dan Timbalan Ketua Setiausaha (Sosial) KKLW, Y.Bhg. Dato' Abdul Jabar Bin Che Nai.
JHEOA TKP(M) Farewell Ceremony
JHEOA Deputy General-Director(Management and Planning) Hj. Mohd Sata Bin Yusoff has transferred to the Board of Development for the District of Kedah (KEDA). A ceremony was held in the Aboriginal Museum, Gombak on August 7, 2008 in conjunction with his transfer to KEDA.
Philippines Delegation Visit
JHEOA Damansara Damai Activity Center had received a visit from the Philippines Department of Non-Formal Education on August 14, 2008. With the objective of looking over the method of carryout out an aboriginal youth automotive skills course, the group of visitors looked quite impressed with the resolve and skills shown by the participants of the course during the visitation session.
KP’s Visit to JHEOA Pahang
JHEOA General-Director, Tn. Hj. Mohd Sani Bin Mistam had held a working visit for two days in JHEOA Pahang and its Districts. During that visit, he had visited several villages including Kg. Orang Asli Api Larat, RPS Kedaik, Kg. Orang Asli Langkap and RPS Bukit Serok.
Ancestral Day Celebration
Each aboriginal community in Peninsular Malaysia has their own methods and different celebrations according to each ethnic group. For the aboriginal community from the Mah Meri tribe in Pulau Carey, Selangor, Ancestral Day is a festive occasion for them. On August 23, 2008, Cultural Programs in conjunction with Ancestral Day was held in Kg. Orang Asli Sg. Bumbum, Pulau Carey, Selangor. The program was officiated by the General-Director of JHEOA Tn. Hj. Mohd Sani Bin Mistam.
Merdeka Journey Program
JHEOA General-Director Tn. Hj. Mohd Sani Bin Mistam had attended theJHEOA Merdeka Journey with Media Program to the Mersing Aboriginal Village from August 25 till 28.
